s5 gauge cluster off 1000rpm with ls1 coils

Ive posted on the other forum few months ago, never really got anywhere. So i will try here. Title pretty much explains it all. I have haltech e6x, set up with ls1 ignition coils. My gauge cluster will read 900 at idle and haltech will read almost 2000rpm. Is this a common problem, or has anyone ran into this before. Is there a way to calibrate stock tach to the haltech? blew last motor from shifting when rev limiter was heard...(yeah i know, slap on the hand). Anyways i prefer not to go with a MONSTER tach, but if i have to i will.

Let me know what your input is. When the vehicle was tuned, they used the dyno tach for readings. |

Where are you getting your signal for your tach and Haltech?

The stock tach signal came from the toggle off the trailing coil pack.

It fires like a V8. What is the yellow with white stripe go to? How are your coils configured to fire? Wastespark or direct fire? -Ted |

You need to set it up so it only sees spark from one rotor. When running off the trailing it only sees one because the trailing isn't wasted spark. In other words have the ignition events on a wasted spark system. Not sure exactly how you would go about it though, sorry.
