2009 PAX/RTP numbers
The new numbers are out. See them, and all the associated lunacy here:
http://www.scca-chicago.com/solo/indexes/rtp2009.html One of the sillier items, CSP is now theoretically faster than BSP. CSP gets all the N/A RX7's (SA/FB as well as FC) and all Miata's except the MazdaSpeed version, while BSP gets the TII FC and the MS Miata. That's right, SCCA thinks a 101hp 12A FB is faster than 13BT FC, and a non turbo Miata is faster than a factory turbo version. CSP 0.862 BSP 0.859 For those that are not familiar with the PAX index, you multiply your actual time by the PAX index, to get your "Theoretical" time. 60 seconds X 0.862 = 51.72 (CSP) 60 seconds X 0.859 = 51.54 (BSP) Using these numbers, a CSP car would need to be 0.4% faster than a BSP car, just to reach a tie. |
