S4 engine with S5 housings
I'm almost done building my semi pp engine, it has s5 rotors and rotor housing, everyhing else is S4 T2.
Since i'm new to rotarys still, i didn't realy know or think that there where differences between the housing, but now i know that the spark plugs are moved slightly and i'm not shure how to tackle it. Is it something i need to consider when setting the timing, or can it simply be done with changing the settings in the PFC ? |

Should've kept the S5 end plates at least...
![]() The bosses around the dowel pins on the oil gallery on the top, next to the oil filter pedestal, are larger / stronger. -Ted |

TRUE STORY Could not believe it when I saw the first one! they were quite rare, but I build a dozen of those motors, same size around the dowel on the front and rear plate as S6 onwards ![]() As Ted says the normal S5 plates are a fair bit thicker than the S4 but still not enough for a big powered engine, so you will need to put in some extra dowels into the block. The latest ones (prototype S5 onwards you can run over 1000bhp stock std) proven it many many times.

Ok, thanks for the info
![]() I never had S5 irons, i had a S4 T2 engine and got s5 housing with semi pp and 9,7 rotors. Just hope i didn't screw up anything to bad, so it lasts long enough for me to tear down and overhaul my stock 6 port for when it does... |
