please be as detailed as possible when making threads. I'm going to ask a MOD to merge both your threads into one.

Flooding: On a series 4 you have to remove the EGI. INJ. fuse in the engine bay. On a series 5 you pull the EGI. fuse Get back in the car with the fuse in your hand. Cranck the motor for 10 seconds. Repeat up to 3 times. If it's mildly flooded then your car should start when you put the fuse back in it's place.

ok, well first things first. Read and download the manuals here

http://www.rotarycarclub.com/showthread.php?t=1790 basics: 1986 to 1988 FCs = Series 4 (series 1, 2 and 3 were first generation 1979-1985) 1989 to 1992 FCs = Series 5 (series 6, 7 and 8 were third generation 1992-2002) reasons for flooding: -bad/leaky injectors -low compression -you turned the car on and then off before it was able to complete the warm-up procedure. Take a video or be super detailed otherwise we're all working blindly. The "foot all the way down" is also a Mazda aid to help you deflood so you're doing ok. Just keep working on the details.
