Throttle body sticking? or not?
When i open the throttle on the throttle body, it doesn't seem to close all the way. The metal stopper doesn't go all the way until the screw (which for some reason i thought it was supposed to) unless i push it there, either directly on the "stopper" thing, or even by pushing on a butterfly valve to close it.
But the strange thing is.. i have 2 throttle bodies that behave in this exact same way. So I thought this might actually be supposed to be like this? But then how will adjusting said screw even do anything? And also when i actually had it hooked up to the pedal, It definitely got stuck on something which is why i took it out. Played around with it for a bit and now im at the point described above. Ill give the insides a good cleaning to see what happens but i guess I'm just wondering if what i described above is supposed to be like that or not?

ah found the answer to my own question.
Cleaned the fuck out of the insides with a friends parts cleaner. Now it is super smooth, and slams shut hard. I finally understand what the dashpot is for.

The dash pot keeps I it from slamming shut so iT will not go lean and pop out the exhaust .

If the TB is cold, the primary plate will stay open a little.
This is due to the hot wax rod. This is normal. |

Yeah I know this. It's just it never closed hard enough before for the dash pot to serve a purpose. Now it's all cleaned out and slams the dashpot pretty good
