				Aftermarket Lug nuts? fitment?

Well, I got these locks on my car, and I can get them off, but I will need to get something to replace em, and I was thinking to get some aftermarket lug nuts that will also fit aftermarket wheels if I decide to get some later.

The problem: I saw that video of the Red FD loosing its wheels, and they said the reason was wrong thread pitch of aftermarket lug nuts! I dont want this to happen to me, so I need to be shure I get some good ones. Anyone on here run those purple 5Zigen ones? (I know it's a little ricer-ish, but my car is blue and I'm 17. )

Don't fall for 'cool' lugnuts. All you need are the cheap standard size and style. Like I alluded in your other thread, please work on restoring the basic cosmetic issues with the car, then deal with the aftermarket stuff later.

			YOU WILL THANK ME.

Yeah, I know, I know... dont worry, I'm not one of "those" people. I was on 7club for about a year before I got this, so I'm well aware of what needs to be done...

I have Muteki lug nuts and they haven't given me any problems. Just get the right thread size/pitch and you'll be fine.

If you go to a parts store and get standard lug nut don't go by what the computer or book says. I have ran into wrong sizes for all makes and models when I worked at autozone. Just bring in an old one and match it to the new ones. IIRC the thread pitch is M12 x 1.25, but please correct if I am wrong.

Actually, I'm pretty shure it's 12x1.50 That's what a LOT of the places sell. Tire Rack, discout tire, ebay, touge factory, etc. I looked all over for the right size, and all say it's 12x1.50 instead of 1.25...

yeah, 1.5 does sound right. It has been two years since I bought new lug nuts, and I forgot what pitch it was.
