Angry Clutch pedal push rod big problem!

Hey Rotary Team:
I somehow stripped the threads in that (Brass?) swivel piece on the back on my clutch pedal that the clutch push rod threads into, on my 85 GSL-SE. I was lazy trying to get the push rod back in AFTER I'd refilled and bled the clutch system (DUMB), instead of before, and I somehow stripped the threads on the swivel part. I need to remove that piece so I can tap in the correct 8M/1 threads again. I can not figure out how to get that swivel part off the pedal. There's a "pin" that goes through the clutch pedal that holds on that brass color "Swivel" part. Looking at it up there under the dash it looks like it was maybe pressed in "permanently" at the factory but there's got to be a way to get that pin out (I hope). I was able to source what I think is a NOS push rod assembly, including that swivel part, so I'll have it as a backup, but it won't do me any good if I can't get the old one off. I've got plenty of time to ponder this and say nasty things about my car and me, since the part is coming from about 7,500 miles away. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
