parrotfever is on a distinguished road
Lost in time in New Jersey!

I bought my brand new white RX-7 Convertible off a dealer's lot in 1989, knowing only that I'd always been fascinated by Rotary engines and had to own one. Four years, approximately 130,000 miles, and numerous speeding tix later, I parked it in my barn to wait out my license points and insurance surcharges!

Over the past 15 years, water and time took their toll, the barn collapsed and had to be replaced, but I've never given up my dream of driving my baby again. I've recently added a 4 post lift and am finally ready to rebuild.

My background? A mechanic out of the industry since the early 1970s. My knowledge of cars of this generation - minimal. My desire - GREAT!
In fact, great enough to join the first forum of my life.

I will post pix (now that I see I can) and welcome any and all advice as to the logic of my plans. I know at a minimum the engine must be rebuilt. I know from putting the car up on jack stands that I've got major work ahead of me. And, of course, I'm NOT wealthy and have a family. What I do have is time (no rush) and desire...
