Correct, the larger brakes came on models with 17 in. wheels for 1999-2002. Won't fit with the stock 16's, I tried just to see.
The later brakes use 12.3 vs. 11.6 in. rotors. Front calipers have revised piston sizes. Rear calipers are no different except for mounting tabs to place them out further.
