ok, i have 2 spare TII trannys in my garage. and one in my 10AE. from what i have seen. there is no visual difference between s4 and s5 trannys. but you can tell by the mount if its on there. but that also could have been swappedsome time in the 15-20 years of its life. but i know gearing is slightly different between the 2 also.

but one of my spare TII trannys has a very noticable difference in appearence. when i bought it, they guy said it was from a swap he bought. i cant remember if he bought a JDM one or local one. so if it is in fact a JDM II tranny, is there any difference between it and the USDM one? i was told that JDM Fd trannys are stronger. but i dont know if that was true either...

anyone have the answer here???
