I understand what you are saying Max and I should have mentioned that my statement was regarding the movie Gran Turino specifically. Not many people know there is even a group of people out there called Hmong. There is a long history behind the Hmong, but most people usually ask, "what is Hmong?" As you just proved yourself...there's a lot to know about us...(Laotions and Hmongs are two different nationalities)...there are many similarities but it is not the same.
In Gran Turino, even though some of the things they show aren't exactly on target...at least the people that watch that movie are now informed that there is actually a nationality called Hmong out there. Maybe they'll go out and find out a little more about our plight and why we're here.
