It might be better for you to just start with a new stock harness. What I deal with is custom harnesses for aftermarket engine management. So starting out you're dealing with alternate components...everything is new. I've worked with enough stock harnesses to know they're one big failure (really worse, several small failures) waiting to happen. Finding enough good pigtails out a worn stock harness will be a chore.

Starting with a fresh harness will ensure you a get a reliable finished product. It's easy enough to eliminate the circuits not being used to tidy of the harness. Hate to see you invest time and money in something that's failure prone.
It's just not monetarially worth putting out for a brand new stock harness since a majority of the plugs I won't be using. (I'm removing emissions so all the plugs that go to the solenoids will be of little consequence, also the EGR valve is already removed and will still need a wire to use the RTEk's RPM trigger. I don't mind using the harnesses stock electrical connections as those are in still great shape. The connections I really need to replace are the injector clips and the water temp (though I think the water temp connection maybe fine). Also the idle control valve (I think that's what it's called) clip is currently fine, but if I i'm going to replace all the similar clips I might as well replace that one too.

I understand your building custom harnesses and think it will work fine, especially if the only thing I would need would be a certain number of wires passing through the cannon plug and a certain amount of feet on either end. Given just that (wires and the cannon plug--lets say anywhere from 30-40 wires passed through the cannon plug)how much would the cost be? I understand cannon plugs can be rather expensive as are the tools for it. so for the harness like I just described above how much would it cost?
