FJO Injector Driver New Version available

Just wanted to pass on that FJO racings second generation injector driver is available. It is about half the size of the first gen controller, easier to install and about $100 cheaper. I found it at Alamo Motorsports for $149.00.

The 3rd gens fuel system uses a high impedance/saturated injector. The common replacement injector for the secondary fuel rail is the Bosch 1680cc which is a low impedance/peak & hold injector (4A/1A). The problem here is two fold, first the PFC injector driver was not designed for the low impedance injector and will burn out in short order and the signal to the injector is not the correct format for what the Peak & Hold injector is designed for.

The common practice is to wire a resister between the Power FC and injector clip to bring the impedance up so you don’t burn out the injector driver but this does nothing to correct the saturated signal being sent to the peak & hold injector. It will operate this way but injector accuracy is greatly reduced. The solution is to use an FJO injector driver. It will convert the saturated signal to the correct 4a/1a signal for the injectors and also is the correct impedance for the ECU.

At $149.00 it is foolish to not use it in place of the hack job resistors.
