The primary reason for these is to have a blot on solution for use with the Xcessive lower intake manifold. I have seen some ugly examples of burnt/melted and bent stock filler necks to accommodate the movement of the upper when using the Xcessive lower. Also, these have a baffle (not an extreme one, but it will help) built in to help prevent oil from travelling up the filler neck on long right hand sweepers. Combine this baffled filler neck with an opposite side oil-pan area vent, and it should completely solve the problem.

The secondary reason for these is to offer a nice looking solution to the guys that want to run -an lines for vents and catch cans, (or use -6 to hose barb adapter fittings, totally an option)

The third reason: It looks cool.

As for the lines connecting to it, that would need to be figured out on an individual basis. There is a lot of information out there as to what types of setups work best for what goals.

Personally, I will be running the dual -6 with the bottom port being ran to a vent line attached to the rear turbo oil drain port to vent the curb side of the engine (the filler neck vents the road side) That way, air pressure has a route out no matter which way the oil is sloshing during a turn. The top vent will be routed to a catch can.
Sweet, I'll be rebuilding my 12a. Gonna port an polish it an add a four port injection system with a computer that will run off the distributor. Trying to get the 1400 bucks is the only hard part, got all the parts located an i have a friend. Gonna consider a different oil filler because unless i run a hood scoop the upper part of the injection system wont fit under the hood unless turned sideways. the thing looks draft style. throttle body at the head and injectors down low. im still figuring things out.
