I love Mazda, and definitely the R26b. But I really think they are pulling a little b.s. claiming that.
quick math fact- @9000 rpm peak power was at 690hp. That is 690*5252/9000= 402ft-lbs.
The claim was at 10,500 rpm it made 900. BUT.......
402ft-lbs * 10500rpm / 5252 = 805 Hp.
To do 900hp it would have to make its rated PEAK torque all the way to 10,500 which was 448ft-lbs
Me thinks that is not possible.
Why not try to match that anyway, I have more than 10,500 rpm on tap
