You know I built a few motors S5's that were the pre cursor to the 3rd generation with the DON MEGA FUCK OFF extra area around the dowel !
TRUE STORY
Could not believe it when I saw the first one! they were quite rare, but I build a dozen of those motors, same size around the dowel on the front and rear plate as S6 onwards
As Ted says the normal S5 plates are a fair bit thicker than the S4 but still not enough for a big powered engine, so you will need to put in some extra dowels into the block.
The latest ones (prototype S5 onwards you can run over 1000bhp stock std) proven it many many times.
