So I figured I would give my hand a shot at modifying my '07 RX-8 and as my first time modifying my car I decided to start with something simple so I chose the Mazdaspeed intake. Installation went fine, did run into any major and the car runs just fine. It sounds better and looks better than another anonymous black box under the hood.

One thing though; there is a second set of wires on the MAF sensor harness that were attached the the vacuum solenoid, is there anything I should do with those wires?

The wires I am taking about are pictured below sitting on the cover of the fuse box.

Second thing, what does the filter sock provided do?
