Not a stupid question at all. From what I've seen the N/A 4-port motors are making more power and torque when modified versus the 6-ports. My reason was mainly for simplicity. Without the airpump I'd have to devise some system of activating the aux ports to maintain any low end. Also, the S4 TII has the simplest port timing design so that made it much easier to make an intake manifold. All that and I needed a new front iron anyway since I destroyed the o-ring groove on the stock one.

You guys say this but you realize even the cheapest TII swap/turbo build will probably make more power than me. If I hit 200 whp I'll be happy; if I break 225 whp I'll be ecstatic. Since this will likely become a dedicated track car in the future I wanted to keep it simple. Turbos generate a lot of heat and require extra plumming.
