The 2nd gen pump has 2 horizontally opposed pump pistons that were the only parts that needed to be sealed. Each piston had two of these rubber seals on them. These seals are similar to O-rings, but have a different cross section - looks sort of like a cloverleaf, and they are called quad rings. I had no luck finding these oddball seals anywhere at the time, and since the piston bores were showing signs of surface corrosion, I figured it wasn't worth rebuilding anyway.

I found a used pump on ebay for 60$ and figured it was worth a try see if it leaks. My old one is now sitting in a box and figured if i could rebuild it i put in in my buddy FD his pump leaks really bad.
quick google search of abs quad rings brings up
http://www.allsealsinc.com/abs_gaskets.html they say they can custom make any gasket. Time to take the abs unit apart and ship off some parts.
