I'm glad you brought this thread out of the closet, because I am now able to answer my own question (seen above).
I did not buy Hoosiers, but went with Hankook instead. And to answer the question, YES! I am now thrashing the boosted miata on a regular basis. Also, I've taken FTD at three of the five events I've attended with these tires. All with a carb'd stockport 12a RX7.
I'll bet you can imagine the looks on everyone's faces when they find out the hot Subaru, Porsche, Vette, Lotus, etc. came in behind the lowly fb. LOVE IT!
