The car made the long trip up across the border to Barrie, Ontario, Canada. Here's the first 3 pics of the car, as it's being offloaded from the flatbed.
The only thing that's got me worried is that I'm not sure if it should be smoking as bad as it is on startup right now. This is my first rotary, so i'm not sure what's normal for these cars, but cold start, it's smokes quite a bit. I haven't had any starting issues, and it seems to idle fine and run smoothly under load. Not sure if it's just exhaust coming out though, or if there's coolant in the exhaust right now... I asked the dealer that i bought it from in texas to make sure that the car was filled with antifreeze coolant, and not just water, but upon checking the fluid, it's almost all water. Not much green in it, and my coolant tester is at the bottom end of the scale, saying it's good to maybe -10C (12F) I can't smell that sweet antifreeze smell in the exhaust but that could just be because there's not much in the mix.
We had a cold spell while it was sitting in the warehouse in Buffalo awaiting the trip across the border, and it's been a little chilly here, so i'm worried there might have been damage. Then again, maybe i've just got an overactive imagination. I always fear the worst. People are stupid. Grr..
