I'm glad you posted this up. This is the way I de-pinned mine a few months ago. I thought the same as you when I saw the other write-up..."doesn't that just rip them out and ruin the connector at the same time?" Seeing as how I've de-pinned connectors before I knew there had to be a tab inside to hold down and make it easier haha. Thanks for posting this up!
