The stock cruise control unit I had ran off vacuum and input from a switch (I don't even think it ran through a computer, but if it did, I doubt it would be good enough now).
I don't know what DBW is. The Haltech has built in stepper motor control (something I have no need of right now, but can be used later for closed loop control of variable length runners
or cruise control if they implement the feature)
