Smile Greetings!

Sup Rotary Car Club! Just wanted to give some background on where I come from

I'm 25 years of age, from southern California, and my passion for cars had ignited in 1998 when Gran Turismo for the Playstation 1 had been released. Being a gamer at the time, I played that game for extensive hours and grew a fascination for Japanese vehicles. It was then when I had been exposed to the Mazda RX7...

Growing closer towards the age of driving, I told myself I must have a cool first car... something "uncommon". Amongst the first on the list that came to mind was a rotary powered vehicle. Coming from an average income family, I could only dream of purchasing the FD3S, so the next best thing to me to get was the FC3S... an "uncommon" car indeed, and I am proud to say that it was my first car!

1987 S4 Turbo II... Can't go wrong with a Turbo RWD car!

In the midst of owning a RX7, I grew aware of the top Rotary tuners in Japan, such as PanSpeed, FEED, and RE Amemiya. Ama san had won me over as a tuner to follow, and even to this day, he's still producing awesome rotary powered cars... from the D1GP to JGTC... what an achievement! ... inspired by Best Motoring International videos, Option2 magazines/coverage, and supporting casts, I was able to put together a fashionable 2nd gen within the next few years to come.

Growing bored and lacking patience, I came across a 93 FD3S for sale at a very affordable price. Driving the stock FD and my lightly tuned FC had a difference of NIGHT and DAY. The twin turbo FD was simply more cunning and powerful than my "needing mechanical overhaul" FC.

Soon after purchasing the FD, times were getting harder as lack of business and "recession" came into play. Being so into the FD, I started focusing more on it and sold off many valuables and essentials from my FC to further modify the FD... it's something I have wished I have never done to my first car...

Time passes and misfortunes occur. Driving the FD around town, I was at fault in a collision with an old beater truck. The truck ended up with a small fender bender and drove off fine after the accident, but my poor poor FD was left TOTALLED and towed to my residence where my parted out, "neglected" FC lay in the shadows... having to witness such a dramatic scene and down fall, I asked myself if I was going to give up this passion of building cars... my answer was YEAH RIGHT!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

After "raping" my first car and misusing my second car, I just needed something new to work with... low and behold, a 1991 Savanna RX7 Type GT-R!!

And that's where I am today, thinking to myself "First try was great. Second try was a joy ride. Third try's a charm!"... Long live the rotaries!!
