Yikes... get yourself some good snow tires. (POR-15 works well to inhibit rust on the underbody from the salt.)
I would be more worried about damage in shipping than cost, a reasonably sized piece only costs about $20.00 to ship anywhere in the US.

I am sorry that I have let this slide. Maybe I can get back to it in a couple weeks, after I figure out this transmission issue enough to get the '86 in the garage.
