Florida Caravan!!!

Well, it's never too early to start planning on a caravan from FL to DGRRX! How about it, anyone interested?:driving:

Last year I travelled up with Savannah Dan and Garrett from Daytona Beach and had a great time. We left Thursday morning and came back on Sunday. It's just a nicer and more fun way to go up to DGRR, kind of like your own rotary run. Plus, you have back up there if something happens. Not that our cars ever break down, right?

So, I'd like to do the same thing this year, only larger. Anyone interested? I was thinking the Orlando crowd might be join in as well as anyone from Gainesville and Miami.

We'll run up I-95 and take I-26 across to Asheville NC and cut over I-40 to DGRRX.

What do you think?

Bump for FL exposure. Come on FL let's do this thing!

as far as I know bewtwo will be going and hopefully bringing his 20b 3rd gen, I'll be attending also, do you know if Dan is coming????

As far as the route you guys are taking, how's the drive???

Last time I went via the FL turnpike to I75 to I285, and I have to say that once you pass Atlanta the drive is great, spectacular views, great little towns and very relaxed driving, part of the DGRR experience was getting there and the route we took made the whole trip that much better.

Yes, saw that bewtew is going. Don't know if Dan is in yet as he hasn't signed up yet. I think a large group will come from Orlando including Jesus Padilla from Kilo Racing.

The route I am proposing is to go up I95N to I26W in SC and to cut across I26 into NC and then to I40W to Nantahala. The ride is all highway and is very easy. Once past Columbia, the view is great. I have a home in Asheville NC and I have gone both ways (I75 versus I95) and the I95 route is by far the easiest way to get there. Last year, we also picked up a couple of people from VA going this way.

My goal is to get a dozen or so cars signed up for the caravan so it is like our own mini DGRR.

sounds good, I heard the rumor about Jesus, hopefully he brings that immaculate Turbo II.
I haven't heard of anyone else from the local crew wanting to make the trip, but then again I haven't been to the meets in a while.
I guess I'll be rolling with you guys, so sign me up.

Yes, his TII is really nice and I think this is the one he was going to drive up but he owns a 1/2 dozen or so really nice RX7s so it might be another one.

I'll start a list! 2010 DGRRX FL Caravan members:

1) Khronus - Orlando
2) War Eagle - Jacksonville
