Rotary Aviation Rebuild Kits as good as atkins?

I am in the market for a rebuild kit.

I am leaning towards the rotary aviation rebuild kit because it provides everything that atkins provides and for $200 cheaper.

I am going with the RA classic seals if i do choose to go with this package.

The one thing I like alot about atkins is the organized fashion they ship their product.

I have never ordered from rotary aviation, and I just wanted some input and success stories or negative input or whatever it may be about rotary aviation...

I'm also wondering the same thing. I'm looking to build and port an FC motor in the spring, but my budget isn't exactly huge. I've heard the RA apex seals tear up housings, does that apply to all of them, or is that just the 'super' seals?

I heard that their Apex Seals are really rough on the housings because they are too strong. Don't take my word for it, but I'd rather get the Atkin's Seals. Peter Farrell got 709hp out of them and they are still running.

if it were me.. i would just buy from dan.. the only other seal i would think about using would be a 2 peice mazda seal.. + i think dan is having a special on alot and is giving us like a 10 - 15% off deal.. i would check into what all he has to offer.. but that's just me. never heard anything bad about the ra seal's , i just don't think I would use them..

well keep in mind that their master rebuild kit is all going to be based off the 1986 model. so you wont get any gaskets you need for a 93 car. so if you wanted the same rebuild kit, we actually offer it for 899.95 here http://www.atkinsrotary.com/store/pr...0&cat=0&page=1
and it comes with more gaskets than theirs does. also their parts are substandard. they would send you a strip of rubber for the corner seals that you would have to cut yourself to fit and also offer water jacket seals that were not by any stretch of the imagination designed with the rotary engine in mind, they are mcmaster and car parts ordered right from the catalog with roughly the same diminsions but not close enough. again keep in mind that you would be receiving only minimal gaskets from RWS not nearly enough to complete an engine installation.
whereas we offer the whole entire gasket kit.

Now if you order through me I will give a 10% discount on the order plus shipping & Pay-pal fees..

I'd go with OEM.

I would go with Atkins vs. RA. I've also heard their seals eats up housing... If that's true, not only you have to replace the housings (to save $200) but could also need rebuild sooner.

Also, Support the vendors who's actually supporting this forum!! Why help out the vendors who don't give a damn!

Also for those that want a master kit that is ALL OEM parts I can do that too no problem it will cost more..

Atkins for the win!

RA seals = 8 out of 10 housings will be JUNK after using them. Atkins cryo seals are great for the average build!
