Welcome Tony.

bigtony08 02-07-2009 11:23 PM

thanks guys i looking to doing a five speed Tii swap some time or else a pp13b. if anyone has some suggestions on that decision let me know lol.

85rx-7gsl-se 02-07-2009 11:30 PM

I would go TII swap first. That is what I am running my FB. The PP would be fun for the track, but not much fun on the street due to the high RPM powerband. Plus engine life on a PP would be shorter,

bigtony08 02-08-2009 10:46 AM

Thanks 85 ill keep that in consideration but what about a full bridgy?

It really just depends on what you are looking for. N/A rotaries are just gonna be limited due to displacement. A stock TII with the boost turned up on the stock turbo will make around the same hp as a BP N/A 13B.

bigtony08 02-08-2009 12:09 PM

you have a point. plus what could be better than a boosted vert

RotaryRoadRage 02-08-2009 04:46 PM

welcome tony , glad to have you here man.. i also agree on the tii swap.. PP set up's cause alot of heat.. when you do you swap , be sure to post a thread and some pic's of the progress... and keep us updated on it..

Welcome Tony, I'm with the guys on this one. TII swap > BP/PP NA

bigtony08 02-08-2009 06:42 PM

thanks guys any week points with the TII swap reguarding relibility

Phoenix7 02-08-2009 07:46 PM

nope.

I daily drove my TII hard and never had issues. Oil changes with 20w50 every 2500 miles, maintenance and TLC and you'll have a pimp ride.

As with any other rotary:

cooling mods are a must

bigtony08 02-08-2009 08:05 PM

Thanks man i know tiger japanese has killer deals on engines and drivetrains so after i get my card paid off ill be on that like stink on shit

Phoenix7 02-08-2009 08:17 PM

it's plug and play if you use the same series motor.

bigtony08 02-08-2009 08:45 PM

well how common is a series 5 TII

Rotarydave 02-08-2009 10:11 PM
