Which failed suspension part causes this?

When you hit a bump, your ass end sways a bit. the struts are new. So i ruled them out. Trying to pin point without spending money replacing EVERYTHING, even though i should anyway.

You mean your 7 isn't AWD?? :leaving:

Put the car up on jack stands and take a pry bar to all the links and see which ones are deflecting side to side more than they should.

Whizbang 11-30-2008 12:13 PM

Ill give it whirl once i can get the car into the garage. But the snow is kinda giving me the finger at the moment.

Check the sway bar. S5's have plastic end links and they are prone to breaking under stress.

Whizbang 11-30-2008 08:27 PM

but i have an S4 so that is ruled out

Flooder 11-30-2008 10:13 PM

Check anyways?. If the swaybar isn't working properly it will result in a loss of traction, which equals the rear end coming out easier.

farberio 11-30-2008 11:14 PM

And the bushings in the s4 endlinks can go bad.
