TGS Tuning UK N/A 26B 4 Rotor Build.

OK Guys Exciting times ahead. James and myself will be building our first 26B this summer. So I thought I would make a start on a build thread to keep everyone up to date with our progress. I've copied over the thread from fduk.org and I will get you guys up to speed and then I can keep you updated.

Everyone will remember James 20B which he mainly built himself in his garage at home. This time I will be taking care off almost all the fabrication Tuning in house here at TopGear Stockport.

The plan is to offer a full conversion drop in package complete with all auxiliaries for the FD3S we will be using the M6000 Adaptronic ECU along with Jenvey throttle bodies.

We will soon be publishing the Facebook page dedicated just for this build

Post from James

Abit more on progress. Still awaiting for the parts to arrive at top gear Stockport. I've cracked on with engine bay work, and will start some body work soon. So new brake lines are swaged in, running a pedal box for the brakes. Wiring is all chopped back now and removed what is not needed. New forward engine mount welded on and polybushed.

Engine bay is rubbed down and repainted, rebuilt the engine bay with the mock engine slaved in ready for Craig's fabrication skills. Anyway here's a few pics.

Hi guys been very busy designing the headers for the motor which isn't a simple task. Quite a lot of length is needed for the PP so much so that if the headers were straight the collector would be where your backbox is

as you can see for me to be able to fit the package and also be able to run some sort of silencer, we have come forward with the runners to gain as much length as possible without interfering with the pp intakes, I also have the length dialled in bang on the money all four hit the rear of the subframe at the same length.

thats it for the first stage of the primary runners. next will be the tunnel runners to the merge collector and if there is room some sort of centre resonator.

That's way too cool. You guys are going full beast mode this time.

Topgear 07-12-2017 07:24 AM

cheers dude yeah we have moved on quite a lot since my first build :)

Pete_89T2 07-12-2017 01:49 PM

Awesome build! :cheers2: I'm curious what the front/rear weight distribution will be on this when it's done. Looks like a fair amount of engine mass will be sitting forward of the front axle line.

Johnny_K 07-13-2017 05:37 PM

Good stuff, keep updates coming.

Topgear 07-14-2017 05:47 AM

I'm quite far along with the oil pan now no photos this week as my phone is in for repair at the shop. soon as its back I will update with some photos.

as for weight over the front axle only one housing, a centre plate and the front cover over hang the axle. no more than a v8 no turbos also means less weight up front.

Regards

Craig
