Sa mirror

I have an sa and the rearview mirror that's extremely loose. Has anyone ever used a mirror from a b2000 or b2200 truck? The design is similar to the SA's mirror.

To fix up that loose SA mirror just take a look at the back of the stem holding the mirror.

See that little knob there? Take a small length of vacuum tubing and put it between that
little knob and the windshield, problem solved. SAs have a small rubber piece that looked
pretty much like vacuum tubing there to stabilize the mirror when new. If you look real
close you can see it in pics.

Once you do this it will be rock solid.

I wish it was that easy. It's loose on the inside, where the long piece goes into the mirror. You can actually spin the mirror around and around.

If you can get the ball out of that socket, maybe some tinfoil added around the ball when
you put it back in would fix it. I don't have that problem yet.

I'm gonna see what I can come up with and I'll post pictures. I can't find a replacement sa mirror anywhere.

Ok, so I'm drawing a blank as to how to fix the issue. It's broke on the inside and it just needs replaced. Does anyone know if the 81 to 83 mirror will work?

Bump....
No one has any input on this?

I checked ebay and didn't see any 1G mirrors. There's a couple of FC mirrors.

This place has two listed but you'll have to call and make sure they're still there and for pricing.

The pic was half down the page and the number is really small toward the bottom.

I'll check my parts and with a friend of mine and see if he has one. Doubtful but I'll check and make sure.
