Reni in fb

Has anyone swapped in a reni and used racing beats intake adapter for a carb?

Whizbang 08-15-2016 03:55 PM

i've seen The Renesis in an FB, but not using a carb.

Why? So much extra work for no real gain using a carb over the factory ecu

I was just curious. I come up with crazy shit like this all the time.

A nikki on a renni in an FB. Thats a cool idea and lots of work. How would the ignition be
done? Old skool DFIS? Would an FB dizzy work in a renni? Lots of questions.

I don't think it's worth it unless running a stock ECU, just my $.02 though.

FWIW the highest I've ever dyno'ed a stock port stock S5 for ITS was 196rwhp on a dynojet. Most Renni's fall in the 180-185rwhp range. My 8 did 196, and the renni powered FB I built did 207rwhp. All "stock" ports.... well, the timing is stock anyway. With the range of timing that the renni has, and needs, I feel that nothing short of EFI is going to be of any major benefit.
