Looking for an FD with a blown engine for ls1 Swap..

Hey guys (and girls) I'm looking for an FD that is close to complete. I need it to have a blown engine or something along those lines. I'm looking to do an LS1 swap but I dont have the heart to kill a 13B.. Body damage ok, All I care about is the interior.. It needs to be as complete as possible. Hook me up guys! :willy_nilly:

you'll be hard pressed to find "deals" FDs are almost as valuable poorly running as they are blown up for some reason.

Well... I have a VERY well sorted FD chasis (approx $60k in mods/upgrades over the past 6 years) that would suite your needs PERFECTLY.

Unfortunately there isn't a chance in hell I'd sell it for what you're likely looking to spend, ESPECIALLY since you just plan on throwing an LS1 in there...

Now, don't get me wrong, I've got nothing personal against doing engine swaps, however I *do* have too much time, effort, love, hate, and care invested into my own car to watch it leave to become something it wasn't meant to be.

I think that you'll find many owners will feel the same way. I'd rather rebuild my engine every other year than get rid of the car I've put such thought and effort into.

What you REALLY want to buy is a roller shell that you can make your own, you can't afford what it would cost to buy out the emotional debt that many owners have sunk into their passion.

A roller is a roller, stripped of it's good and waiting for a new life. They are "cheap" by comparison. No owner in their right mind is going to sell you years of their passion so that it can be turned into something they didn't envision from the start.

Best wishes in finding a nice ROLLER to start with though

Trust me, if I could find a reliable Rotary engine, I'd stick with it.. The LS1 is just so easy to find, fix, and get parts for.. I'm a RX-7 fan... I've owned 4... But I just want something to keep not something I need to fix every 6 months.. So Find me a nice roller!

If you've owned four then you should know that a rotary is as reliable as the sum of its parts. If you cut corners and put cheap parts on, or have somebody (who really doesn't know what they are doing) tune it to the ragged edge of safety and then whomp on it regularly and neglect maintenance then OF COURSE it's not going to be reliable. Not to get all fluffy-bunny faggoty-idealist here, but you have to look at the engines as you would a living, breathing, sentient being, with one HELL of a personality. If you treat it wrong it's gunna punch you in the face, then clean out your wallet while you're trying to gather your bearings and figure out wtf just happened... If you have to fix something major every 6 months it's because you're ignoring all the minor stuff, and if that's the case than yeah, maybe rotaries aren't for you :dunno:

Trust me, I know :lol::lol: I've had 3 rebuilds since 2009 (the first two were trash because the "professional" that did them was a cheap ass motherfucker who cut corners, didn't follow specs, and didn't give a FUCK about attention to detail when it came to my car, the third broke in a fluke accident involving an oil line walking loose on the highway) and I just pulled the engine out of my car last night for the 4th rebuild :squint:

I only locate cars for people on commission or good friends :suspect:

i kinda want both at some point.

Vette mods are cheaper...

Crap forgot they crash into other vettes when they come into close proximity of one another. Or they fall into holes to crash into one another.
