RX7 FD Windows Won't Roll Down

I have a 1992 RHD FD that the windows won't roll down on either side.
They just both stopped working at the same time.

Fuse is good, no power to the main window switch.
I have traced down the power in from the switch, blue-white wire through the fender connector into the flasher box, 34-3181701-2, and tested voltage on the flasher box power window connector and I get zero voltage with the car turned on. I replaced with with another flasher box with the same results. Must be further up the harness. Any ideas while I troubleshoot more?

Who would have though the FD RX-7 window switch gets it's power from the flasher box.

There is a black with red stripe wire that has 12v all time with the white/blue wire.
The flasher must be a relay for the window switch to apply power only when the key is on.

The flasher box is not switching 12V power to the window switch when the car is turned on.

Pulling the dash now.

Just in case you need to replace the driver's side window switch, the USspec switch works*

Works as in the driver's side US spec (left switch) works with the JDM driver's side window. It's a lil confusing but it works with my RHD car lol. Kinda hard to locate a RHD driver's switch.

Good luck!

You could de-solder or cut the wires to rewire it to the correct window side/switch

Fortunately the switch works well when power is applied.

Thanks for the info.

I really doubt the 92 wiring is any different than the 93+. And, unless it is, there is nothing that runs through the flasher box.

The main power to window switch runs staight into the flasher box.

I pulled the dash and reconnected the other flasher box one more time. and it works. :)
Maybe I didn't have the connector seated good on the 1st try when I swapped it.

Just for kicks and thinking maybe a bad connection, I reconnected it back to the old flasher box and it still doesn't work, swapped it back and works like a charm.
