looking for water/meth injection tips

i usually run a 50/50 mix with good results but the car in question is different ..
the car in question is a S4 turbo on a S4 stock turbo engine, running a weber carb blowthrough intake, non intercooled @1bar .. some knock is occurring after several pulls due to no intercooler.. my question is since i want maximum cooling im thinking straight water and possibly run a second nozzle pre turbo? any ideas are welcome

i would say either straight water and more of it or switch fuels to alcohol.

make sure your post turbo nozzle isn't only getting the majority to half the engine as well.

went with straight water , largest nozzle AEM makes in the charge pipe. the knock is gone! water injection is amassing.. going to the dyno with the customer next week, while on the dyno, i will try straight water and then 50/50 mix. im curious to see what the dyno shows. will keep you updated

straight water will make less power but the knock levels should decrease.

strange, the car if anything feels faster with the water injection, rather than without

the AI should allow you to run more boost safely so you can make more power, but at the same PSI of boost AI should make less power than without if running within a safe margin.

Every motor and set up likes different mixes. I tried pure water, 50/50 and 75/25. I got my best results with 75 meth/25 water. The injector placement is critical as well for best results.

where did you have best results?

i don't suggest going more than 50/50 on the mix unless you have an accurate way of injecting the mixture. AEM and their nozzles do not fit that criteria.

My best results on that set up were one small injector directly after the turbo. And a larger one injecting directly after the stock intercooler.

On anything larger than stock T2 turbos I prefer to use mechanical injection pre-turbo with no intercooler. By mechanical I mean no electric pump. I like to remove chances of failure when possible.

I used cooling mist pump and nozzles/injectors on that particular set up. I was very pleased with there level of atomization.
