ignition issue

i have an 84 gsl se with an 87 n/a engine running on se injectors, ecu. the car ran awesome before the coolant seal went and lost compression. i rebuilt it and i'm running the fc leading coil. the issue is,only the leading coil isn't sparking. i've checked all grounds, voltage at the ecu and coil. i switched out the fc coil for the stock one and still no fire. the plugs, wires, cap, rotor are good as well. the magnetic pickup gap is in spec, cleaned the contacts and switched out the leading igniter. it cranks, the trailing is firing. i've checked all wiring for breaks and corrosion, i've been racking my brain for a couple of days now on what it could be. i'm gonna try something else. i need fresh input on this.

any chance you have the wires at the coil switched?

did you try another dizzy? i have had the wires inside the thing break before...

when I switched to an fc coil,I put 2 different connectors on the power wires so it can only be hooked up one way. I'll check the wires on the inside of the dizzy. I changed it out the last time it happened and I put the original dizzy back in and haven't had any problems out of it. I've been through the wire diagram in the fsm numerous times thinking I may have missed something. I'm not the greatest on those diagrams,I know the blk/y stipe is the + comi g from the ecu to the main relay to the dizzy to the coil. the y/blu stripe is - (for the leading) from igniter to coil. could the dizzy's ground be bad,but the trailing is firing fine? I'm baffled.

i think i've found the issue. after going through the whole ignition system,i started checking to see if all the relays were working. the main relay coming from the ecu wasn't clicking when the key is turned on. i bought a new relay and i'm gonna cross my fingers.
