Coilover install questions.
 

I ordered Godspeed coilovers and I was wondering how I should setup them up itinitally and how soon to get anlingment. I dont want the car to pull funny on the street or for my tires to wear bad.

I find it easiest to set it.to the hieght you want then put the dampaning in.the.middle so you can go sorter or harder, after you have your settlings how you want then get.ur alignment. It be best to.get.it within a week or two but you maybe able stretch it gota if necessary. Take extra tike to break in ur.Godspeed coilovers as they have a tendency to blow fast, and remember if you drop more.then and.inch.or so.in.the rear you will need to adjust The rear camber

How do you break them in.

If your suspension is stock, then you cannot lower the FC that much.
Lowering the ride height will significantly change the rear camber (first).
You end up with excessive negative camber (in the rear).
You need either a rear camber adjust bar and / or a pair of links that adjust the links at the front of the rear suspension subframe.

In general, you do not need to "break in" suspension components.

Which links are better, the ones from MMR that allow each wheel to be adjusted or the single bar one?

Everyone will tell you differently, but I prefer the single one.

I would say if you could get both. Use the single bar to get you to the general number you want and use the individual sides to even things out.

I have the AWR units (similar to MMR) and they work well. I wish they had a little more adjustability because I have my coilovers at maximum height in the rear and I can't go lower than -1 degree of camber. I'd use the single bar but I have solid (delrin) mounts in the subframe.

Single bar doesn't allow individual camber adjustments. I like the idea mentioned about having both myself.

I do have the MMR drivetrain mounts.

Ok so I got them in the mail today and they came without instructions. I have no idea how to set these up and have the car drivable. I can get them on but I am unsure what will happen. Any one install these before?

oh I mean I got the coilovers with out instructions? my bad. They are godspeed project brand

Coilover install is pretty straightforward. Remove old spring/strut assembly and replace with coilover assembly. Be sure to torque everything down to the required specs; you don't want this coming apart on the road. You'll have to play with the height settings to ensure an even ride height and you'll have to guess at camber/toe unless you have means of measuring them.

the only problem i see so far is there is no clip to hook the brake line to on the coilovers

I installed them being near the same length as the OEM ones at 1st and I realized, as I was lowering the lift, these are going to be high as hell. I can fit a fist and three fingers in the back. I ran out of time to put the fronts on and adjust the back. I will post the pics when I find my camera.
