Where does this ground plug go, coolant level disconnect
I know it is suppose to plug in behind the power sterring pump area, above ac compressor. I've been searching for like an hour now and it's pissing me off.

I believe that's the one that connects to the starter harness. There should be a male spade connector on the starter harness that hooks into that, and IIRC that's the only place where the two harnesses come together. That is the side coming off the engine wiring harness right? You could just ground it to the chassis but it wouldn't do you any good if your coolant gets low lol.

What I meant is the one you're holding is coming from the engine harness right? I just wanted to make sure it was that side and not the wire coming from the starter harness and I'm getting confused lol.
When I first bought my car, that wire was grounded to the firewall and I thought it was normal because I didn't know any better. I didn't know until I got a new(er) starter harness that had the wire I was supposed to hook it to lol. Have you turned the key on with that wire disconnected/not grounded? It should buzz or beep or whatever. |
Please delete this double post. I'm not sure why it double posted, I didn't send it twice.

No the car isn't that far along intake manifold is still not connected or Alt along with a few other things. |
look at the wires that split off for the alt from the starter harness... friend's was coming out right there...
any way you can post pics of your starter harness so we can possibly help you find it that way? FYI: harness that runs on the engine, runs injectors, IAC, throttle, etc is listed as the "emissions harness" by mazda... and the one for the starter, alt, etc, is the "engine harness" =P |

Weird that's what they call them, hmmm. |
You guys were dead on with the starter harness. You can't see it you have to feel down the starter harness and you'll run into it just behind the power steering pump.
|
Yup! Glad you found it.
