Cool.
Curious....what prompted the rebuild? And how bad were your housings and how did they turn out?

haha i blew my motor up in april and i only had a chipped apex seal. im going to give goopy performance props because they were like brand new when i got them back. they also installed my stationary gear bearings for free so that was cool

heres a picture of the housing before. i actually dont have a after but on there site they have lots that are what they looked like when i have them back.

Do you know what caused the chipped seal?

Signal 2 07-22-2011 10:38 AM

Great. Been following customer's experiences with Goopy. I've got a couple used housings sitting on a shelf...~ 85k on them. No cracks or chatter marks and only light grooving. But some typical flaking on the edges. Wondering if they can be helped.

i actually dont know what caused it to chip since i was only boosting 5 psi at the time.

i sent goopy some housings that had 100k on them and they turned out really well.. im impressed. the only thing i had a problem with was the timing cover?.. it didnt quite fit which i thought was odd but i fixed that. anyway heres some more pictures.

That's kind of scary. Always nice to find out what happened to keep it from happening again.
