This was in the rock auto newsletter. You can't make this stuff up!

This is my 1974 Mazda RX-4. I race an RX-3 and an RX-7 with the Sports Car Club of America. One of my fellow racers had this car and was competing in a class call ITA. It was basically a street stock class with some modifications. I purchased the car when he puked the engine. I put a new engine in it and was driving it for some time before I “furred” it out.

Being an old race car every panel on it was bent to some degree. I decided it was easier to glue fur to it than to do the body work. Rules say no metallic paint and no primer. Rules do not say you can’t have hair! All I need to do is shave numbers into the fur. This is still an SCCA legal ITA ride. Now street legal – this car is fast, handles like it's on rails and everybody loves its look.

I’ve purchased tie rod ends, brake pads, and caliper kits from RockAuto. Thank you for the excellent selection of hard to find parts!

Saw it.

I talked to that guy once on the phone, he is actaully a cool guy. He just unloaded a whole stable of old school rotaries for super cheap.

I have actaully submitted RCC for forum of the month, but they never pick us :(

Yeah I think I saw that craigslist add when he was selling them. One of the
kids down at the OGTA bought the white rx4 he had sitting around. Looked
like a nice car.
