AutoEXE Front and Rear Strut Brace!

I just got this installed and drove a little today.

Far as I can tell, I do notice a little?? Car feels bit more stiffer and I think its doing its job..

Install was pain in the ass.. Rear took about 2-3 hours and front took about 2 hours.

Rear, hardest part was cutting the side carpets and such.

Front, I had to remove the wheel, the plastic wheel well, and actually placing the strut was kind of a pain. The brace itself didn't go in as easy as I thought.. Also the added back plates were pain in the ass too.

Well, just wanted to share my thoughts. Overall I'm very happy with it:)

Nice!!!!

AutoEXE......looks spendy!!

Looks good Phil. Is the 8 coming to DGRR this year too?

Herblenny 02-11-2008 07:39 PM

I think either my wife is bringing the thing or a guy from Portland OR...

Would that be afgmoto?

He wants to stay with the dreaded Cabin 1016 crew. Lol.

He handled that Mustang vert pretty well last year.

I can voutch for that. We attacked the dragon several times last year and he did not hold back at all in that rental car.

yep! Adam (afgmoto) is flying here and then heading up there with the duece or the 8. I order some tires couple of days ago and it just came in.. I'm going to get them if I have time tomorrow.

looks good phil, I assume the cover is out with that setup, or can it still be wedged on there?

nm found the answer to my own question seems with a slight modification the cover can still fit.

Herblenny 02-16-2008 12:24 AM

Yep, All you have to do is do a little bit of cutting..

But I kind of like it with out it..

fikren 02-16-2008 12:30 AM

yeah definatly looks good but I get to sport the silver cover so if I went with a similar setup I might want to sport the look for a bit.

Nice, Yellow isnt my thing, but Ive been in a few 8's and I liked em, If I didnt like the part about owning a 2 seater wards off people wanting to ride with me for some reason..
:-D

fikren 02-23-2008 04:50 PM

Well my 8 is essentially a 2 seater, I'm 6'4" and its mostly in my legs so needless to say I have to have the seat back enough for my legs to have some freedom with the pedals. So unless your a midget and don't need the leg room your not fitting in my backseat.

fikren 02-24-2008 08:29 PM

So Phil, since you already have experiance doing this install are you going to come do mine when it all shows up? :D I'm sure it would be easier the second go around.
