So much to do, so little time! Its the same every year!

daleclark 03-18-2010 09:45 AM

Yeah, I've still got a lot to do on my car, also helping a buddy with his car along with all the other projects I've got on my plate! Good thing is the car COULD go as it is right now, but I want it to be 100%.

SO stoked!

NUUUUU...
I still don't have my new block in hand... Running out of time...

FerociousP 03-18-2010 10:01 AM

same here... nothing like a non-movable deadline to make you get off your butt and get stuff done. Radio install and rear wheel bearing change coming this weekend for my SA, then all new brakes and coolant hoses for next weekend!

Proxy One 03-18-2010 10:32 AM

Yep im in the same boat, trying to get the 7 and the 2 done just in case I have to take the 2. The 7 is getting a new turbo soon. Hope to get it all back together in time.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Have some small stuff to do on the RX-8. No biggie. But now that I know it is coming soon, I guess I should finish it NOW. I need to drive it more to find anything new that needs to be addressed.

Cross your fingers....200K is an oil change away.

 We just finished block sanding Alex's TII tonight, tomorrow we put it in color. THen we thrash to assemble in time to work the bugs out, breakin the engine, dyno tune, and drive 800 miles.

Put the new RB wires on the RX-8 last night, and did the poor man's oil cooler mod.

She had a hard time starting last night, maybe because there was a crowd :nervous:

This morning it fired right up, drove 16 highway miles to work, and I was curious to see if it would hot start once I got there. Sure enough it fired up after only a few seconds (instead of like, 20 seconds).

CEL came on again. Dammit.

When does my car get on the rotisserie?

Proxy One 03-19-2010 08:51 AM

I got the Rx2 one step closer last night to being able to make the journey if need be. The battery was shot and a wire was off the coil packs, so it didnt want to start but thats fixed. Now the brake lights dont work and the brakes need to be bled then she'll be pretty much ready. Then on to trying to get the FD ready.

I'll be rolling to DGRR in a piston powered car with 4 seats.... Someone let me drive their rotary on the Dragon :) I'll be gentle ;)
