Synapse Wastegate vacuum diagram
I am in the process of installing a single turbo kit on my car and am using the 50mm Synapse wastegate and am just curious if anyone could tell me where to hook the hoses up at ?

There's the manual; it'll give you the chart to show you which spring to use, and what ports to hook up to get certain boost levels. On a side note, I -love- the synapse wastegates, and I'll never use a different one again. It took my peak power up 16 horsepower, and raised the average torque by 30 ft/lbs. It's a fantastic piece. |
I gotta agree...synapse wg has been the best i have used. I had some boost irregularities with my old hks 40mm but once i put the 50mm synapse on, the creep and fluctuation went away. i got mine set at 11psi and it holds dead steady as low boost and i can alter it with my EBC to go to 20psi.

So you use a boost controller with the Synapse WG? How do you run the hoses for this? Im thinking of just starting with the C vacuum hose hooked up for simplicity.

No, you don't need a boost controller unless you want to change the boost level from the cab. Just hook up the ports according to which boost level you would like, and to change the level, move the hoses.

Also note that the boost level they claim may not be what you actually get, it takes a little trial and error sometimes, with different spring/port combinations. I think they have a disclaimer stating this as well. |
