Nagisa Auto FC3S/FD3S Fender Braces

Trying to drum up interest to see if I can get enough people interested in the Nagisa Auto fender braces for the FD3S and FC3S.

What they do: ""The Nagisa Auto Gachiri Support or "Super Fantastic Fender Brace" is responsible for increasing chassis rigidity. It also improves the connection between the wheel wells and the area directly forward of the front doors. Improving stiffness in this region of the chassis will result in better stability under hard braking and better steering response at high speed.

The Gachiri Support accomplishes this by creating a triangular shape which braces the fender area to reduce flexing. In passenger cars, this area between the front door and wheel well forms a "crumple zone," which crushes upon impact in case of a front-end collision. Overall, the crumple zone aids in safety in the event of a crash on public roads. However, this area is soft and flimsy because it's MADE to to be squashed easily compared to other parts of the chassis. In order to erase that shortcoming, Nagisa designed the Gachiri Support, which aids that soft area with sturdy bracing.

This part is for individuals who are interested in all-out performance with no compromises. And it benefits drivers using high-grip tires, such as drifters, and circuit racers.""

Spoken from personal experience, these do make a huge difference, Seen many people use them on Skyline GT-Rs, and other cars to make a huge difference with better driving dynamics on the track, and all around stiffness for daily use (less creaking, sagging when raising the car up, etc)

Prices will be $228 dollars to southern california for the FD Fender braces, and $218 for the FC ones.

Trying to take mainly local people, but everyone is welcome to join in.

-Buyer is responsible for shipping cost from Southern california to their house. I am willing to ship if paid for.

1. Phoenix7 - FC ready to paypal

2gslse 09-12-2009 02:18 PM

I have been wanting a set of these made for the FB body any chance of that happening?

Miata_mx5 09-12-2009 02:41 PM

Unfortunately they only have it for the FC and FD. A local shop would have to engineer, make, and test them. As long as the braces are thick, and well triangulated, they should improve the handling.

2gslse 09-12-2009 02:56 PM

ok thanks anyway maybe i'll look into it this winter

EJayCe996 09-12-2009 03:46 PM

I'm in.. I've been wanting these (as well as every other piece of chassis stiffening component for the FC)

Miata_mx5 09-12-2009 04:43 PM

Original post/price has been modified to reflect paypal/transaction fees. Price increase is very small.

EJayCe996 09-12-2009 05:21 PM

oh, and is this in any way related to the FDNewbie GB on the club?

Miata_mx5 09-12-2009 05:41 PM

He is helping me organize the group buy on the club, because i don't have the vendor fees to pay to throw on that forum.

But, i will be the one who is handling this group buy (paying the guys in japan, shipping the orders, and making sure gets stuff done as quickly as possible). I say this because i know some people may have had a sour taste in their mouth dealing with ramy, but I am sort of the backbone behind this group buy since i know the guys at Nagisa auto.

RockyZ 09-12-2009 08:15 PM

Definitely interested? How soon will you guys have these or do you guys already have these? I'd like to pick them up soon.

Miata_mx5 09-12-2009 08:18 PM

It will probably take 1-2 months or so after the payment has been sent to japan.

The items need to be boxed, shipped to the shipping company and then will come by ocean container as it's the cheapest way to ship.

I just know these things take time because customs isn't quick about clearing things, and containers take a while to fill due to everything being more expensive.

Phoenix7 09-12-2009 10:20 PM

if you're ready to pay, list up...I want these and the sooner it's paid the sooner we get them. Can you get anything else to take advantage of container?

WE3RX7 09-14-2009 05:12 PM

1.)Phoenix7
2.)WE3RX7 (FC)

I would have purchased these through autornd, but you've got a better deal going ;)

I can pay whenever needed...

2gslse, when they come in, I can bring them by and see how accurate they would be to an FB and where mods would be needed, maybe we can fab some for the FB project :)

Miata_mx5 09-14-2009 11:22 PM

All payments can be sent to Concourse_Finish@yahoo.com

*Just a reminder, make sure you take paypal fees into consideration when sending.

Thanks.

Miata_mx5 09-16-2009 09:18 AM

Can't make this happen without payment.

Bump.

EJayCe996 09-18-2009 12:04 PM

WE3RX7 09-18-2009 03:53 PM

Whats the cut-off, I just paid deposits on a few other GBs, and I'm out of the country soon until mid october.....

EJayCe996 09-18-2009 10:48 PM

btw, I think i forgot to mention my screen name in the transaction but I'm Ell

Miata_mx5 09-19-2009 01:14 AM

Actually I'm a little annoyed that I missed out on tis GB. Never even saw it. :banghead:

Are those AL or SS or a chromed Chromoly?

EJayCe996 11-18-2009 06:30 PM

Don't get me lying, but I'm gonna have to say it looks/feels/sounds like SS.

TitaniumTT 11-18-2009 06:33 PM

What happens if you put a magnet up to it? Judging by the welds it's some type of steel. I can't see a small co MIG welding AL. Stainless likes to move alot when welded which is why I'm thinking it;s chromed or treated Chromoly.

But I want to see installed pics and reviews damnit

2gslse 11-18-2009 08:57 PM

Hey brian it looks like you have another thing to build for the FC this winter

TitaniumTT 11-19-2009 01:49 AM

It would appear that way :D But I have an intimate understanding with the FC's under the fender and there is really no place to bolt that thing in SOOOO I wanna see it installed..... like now

2gslse 11-19-2009 04:10 AM

I know there isn't a lot of room for it but if anyone can figure it out I would say you can do it. when you get done maybe I can talk you into building me a set or 2 for a FB:D

TitaniumTT 11-19-2009 11:28 AM

Thanks man,

Pshhhh, don't need to talk me into anything. I just need an FB in front of me and some time

TitaniumTT 11-19-2009 01:24 PM

Pic-Tease

2gslse 11-19-2009 04:24 PM

I can get a FB clip. I have one here at the house stripped down ready for the crusher I was going to sawzall the front off anyway

WE3RX7 11-19-2009 04:51 PM

I missed out on this GB too - just bad timing around the wedding, but definitely still interested in a set. Brian this would be a good product to help launch a company if you were into that sort of thing ;) especially if made for the FC and FB...

TitaniumTT 11-19-2009 05:40 PM

Yeah, that whole partner up and start a company has crossed my mind once or twice...... a day. We're a little behind with the planning of the launch, time is just slipping with everything that's been going on but it'll definately happen.

If I were to build something like that, I'd do it for myself and then keep the templates and jig the sucker so I could just crank them out if need be. I still prefer to have the car infront of me though. There's so many things that can be just slightly different from car to car that could give a great product and perfect fitment on one car, a bad rep by not fitting on another car that is just ever so slightly tweaked. Whether in an accident or not, cars do bend.

and mine is bent to hell

TitaniumTT 11-19-2009 11:01 PM

Ah see, they won't fit on your car anyway.... might as well just give them to me

Miata_mx5 11-20-2009 03:34 AM

They are Zinc coated steel.

Yes, you can get them even for similar to GB Pricing on a 1 by 1 basis but they take time still. I have 2 coming for FDs. 1 is sold, the other is up for grabs, first person to send me money + shipping grabs that one.

Check my blog for pictures of the FD one.

I have one for an FD that came in for another customer after 1 month of wait. Going to ship those out soon.

However, if you are in california, you need to pay tax.

WE3RX7 11-20-2009 10:13 AM

So does that mean you can still get them for the FC? How much do I need to send you?

Miata_mx5 11-20-2009 12:14 PM

$210 + PM me Ur ZIPCODE, ill find out the shipping cost.

Max_Spd 06-15-2010 08:28 AM

How are we doing on these? im looking for an FD unit!!! I know its been some time now!!!
