Hood Dampener Hood Bracket??

Can you provide just the brackets. :)

rotaryextreme 03-09-2009 07:35 PM

Sorry, It cost too much to really sell just the brackets. They would be 100 shipped.

will that work with the feed hood aswell?

War Eagle 03-10-2009 02:28 PM

These are solid very and very well designed. I have them on my car. They don't mess up the hood alignment and still allow the hood to normally close. Two rotors up!

Herblenny 03-10-2009 02:49 PM

Paid!

R-R-Rx7 03-10-2009 03:57 PM

if it fits with the feed hood and closing properly im defenately getting a set

rotaryextreme 03-10-2009 10:40 PM

R-R-Rx7, They work with all hoods because they bolt on top the factory hood hinge. Meaning, the alignment is set to the factory hinge. The other end goes to a ball stud that you replace your fender bolts with.

I'm down if we get 10 people. I know the GB ends the end of this month, but do you need payment right away, and if so, just the $130 or more?

speedjunkie, r-r-rx7

payment is required to be on the list, this gb will go through but if ever one does not, you get your refund. Or a small balance is owed because I could not get enough people for a discount from the cnc machine shop. Or, I still ofeer it at this price and I just lose money.

post #1 shows who has paid.

Ben

No problems. It's easy in this case as the struts are really well designed and work great.

proz07 03-24-2009 08:13 PM

recieved mine yesterday looks decent like an oem dampener for somthing else even. only thing tht concerned me was the brackets i never really liked how the hood nuts have barely any threads to hold on too once installed. but im sure itll be fine once installed this weekend. doing 12's this week so no time yet.

z

AzEKnightz 03-24-2009 08:42 PM

how much locally pick up ben =). And how is the toe links coming along? Let me know.

-Eric

rotaryextreme 03-25-2009 04:57 AM

Proz07, They are purposely cut short because the ball stud will hit the hood at the angled section if they are not cut. But don't worry, they come pre-installed with "red" thread lock on the ball studs in the brackets and the ball sockets on both ends of the shock.

I promise you it won't vibrate loose.

R-R-Rx7 03-26-2009 08:52 AM

just received mine

THank!!

Herblenny 03-26-2009 02:12 PM

I got mine and will be installing it tonight!

rotaryextreme 03-27-2009 08:38 AM

Let me know how it goes.

Herblenny 03-27-2009 08:45 AM

Installed it last night!! One side of the hood was giving me some issues (not related to RE stuff) due to bent bolts on my hood.. If it wasn't for that, I could of put the hood dampers on in matters of 10-15 mins..

I'll take some pics over the weekend.

rotaryextreme 03-28-2009 11:09 AM

Bent bolts on your hood!!!!! How did that ever happen??
