Picture craziness!

Also, the kit went on excessively well. Literally took 5 minutes.

Black. Im no fun.

Atkins Dan 03-18-2009 08:32 AM

There is nothing wrong with black parts, as it is the universal color and will go with just about every color scheme... If you need belts I have the correct ones in stock..

Dan

dregg100 03-19-2009 12:27 AM

why wont it work on an fd? even with no accesories there?

Atkins Dan 03-19-2009 08:46 AM

The front pulleys wont line up, as the FD engines were set farther forward than the 91 & older stuff..

If there is enough of you guys that want these for the FD's than I will make them but I need a min of 10 guys willing to pay for the kit as soon as it is done..
Plus I will need a to know how much room I have between the block & the fender too..

Dan, I was going to use it on my old school rotary..

dregg100, I'm working with No Limit Industries to make a alternator relocation bracket for FDs. We'll have something in about a month or so.. It will definitely eliminate AC but we'll offer with PS or without PS. I'll post up more info when it gets close.

Atkins Dan 03-19-2009 09:21 AM

it should fit for sure in the old school..

Keep in mind when we made this we were using this in a marine \ Aviation use..

I will try to post up some shots of it...

i was thinking about it and remembered that the fd water pump spins the other way, so keep that in mind if either one of you try to make one.

Atkins Dan 03-19-2009 10:04 AM

Well I guess if you had the alt up high enough you can still have the WP spin in the same direction..

Dan

Whizbang 03-19-2009 05:13 PM

i for one noticed the fact you can easily run basically any alternator with it which can be a HUGE plus.

Yep.. We already thought of that.. We are also considering reverse designing the water pump propeller and different pulley.. We shall see..

Whizbang 04-07-2009 07:36 PM

okay, im having issues. The belt is hitting the distributor. Its an S5 alt w/ a double sheeve pulley. I called and try to leave a message regarding it but your message system gives the option to disconnect or enter another number.

Anywho, the rear belt hits the distrubtor. The front belt misses it by only a wee bit. I can't see the thing mounting in any other fashion though. And if i didnt have the double sheeve the front belt would even be there to go on.

Atkins Dan 04-07-2009 09:48 PM

Low : can you post up photos on the ALT??? so I can see how you have it mounted please??

so i think i might have figured it out. I think the belts are incorrect. Going to swap for the right width tomorrow.

Whizbang 04-09-2009 04:37 PM

here is the picture with the proper belts. Engine is a 13b S4 with a 12a front cover and distributor.
