nice vids, and good runs.

sk8world 03-12-2008 12:16 AM

those are nice passes! What 60 foot were you cutting? I am hoping for the same times!

zinx 03-12-2008 10:31 AM

Thanks guys. My best 60' is a 1.52 and later last season i was consistently in the 1.52-1.54 range after i got the launch down. I think i can bust off a 1.4x this season with some tricks, but i don't know if i want to be that hard on the car.

sk8world 03-12-2008 12:19 PM

Yeah, I am still on stock axle's and diff. I am hoping they hold for a few passes. Years ago Steve Kan told me the biggest trick was getting the slack out using the e-brake. I have always used that advise and been ok. (so far) But I have never cut better than a 1.74 on BFG DR's. Back when I ran ET streets I was too scared too really drop it... BTW what tires you using? I was just going to go back with et streets again..

So with a 1.52 60 foot and 500rwhp that got you the 6.9 with 10.8?

sk8world 03-12-2008 12:19 PM

anyone running a line lock? That is my next install....

I think getting the slack out of the drive train does make a big difference, but i'm bad about it. I need to work on that. I do run ET streets 26x10.5 on the stock tires and i drop the hammer at 7500+. At the end of the season i was dropping it off the 8100 rpm limit with 5psi of boost. I don't think i'm going to do that this year.

The first time i ever went out on ET Streets, i snapped a stock axle like it was a twig. I've got vid of both times i've broken at the strip. I'll post them up when i find them.

Or was this done on less boost?

I think i was making less power than 500 when i ran this. The conditions when i dynoed were really good, and when i ran most of the time is was nice and humid in the summer. I think the car has a 10.70 as it sits, but i'd have to drive the wheels off it.

1QWIK7 03-12-2008 04:03 PM

Damn radkins car is pretty fast if it almost passes the 500+hp S2K and starting from behind.

Nice videos.

Yes i run the line lock its pretty easy to hook up. And helps to keep from heating up the clutch.
If i knew how to post pic's i would post the install!:banghead:

Good to see you on here. I was going to hit you up on my line lock install. What model do you suggest? Was it you whom installed the button as the horn?

busted7 03-13-2008 10:25 PM

I like the ssbc unit from summit-jegs its reasonable and real quite. No horn button but thats a good idea! If i could remember for more than 2 minutes i could learn to post pictures and show the install. There are picts on the other site [single turbo] titled my single turbo set up. You can see it in one pict. Let me know if you have Q's.
