Beautiful wheels.

bop_rocco 03-04-2008 09:48 AM

thanks, im not shure about the black on the MB. but if i dont like it ill get em painted silver.

Why didn't you go with Work Meister s1's?

bop_rocco 03-05-2008 08:15 AM

price, i got these at a deal, plus the works are about 200 more a wheel. and these are kinda light for a 3 piece wheel the 18x10's are about 22lbs

Uncle Hungry 03-07-2008 08:13 PM

Why do you think they won't fit? What is your front offset? I have meister's with 255/35/18 kdw2 rubber and a +48 offset on a 18x9 up front and that was the recommended tire size. Btw they should arive in a couple weeks so no pics yet lol. Edit, now I see. Your offsets are about opposite of mine . I'm + 48 in front on a 18x9 and + 43 in the rear on a 18x10. I prefer a more staggered look.

Love the rims, but I also wonder how they will look on MB. I own an MB and I think it is the hardest colour out of the FD lineup to match wheels for.

2MCHPWR 03-08-2008 07:40 PM

nice. did you get them from tirerack? i got SSR comps cheap from there recently because they aren't gonna carry them anymore.

sexy

warwickben 03-09-2008 10:02 AM

i hate you guys, sa's are stuck with the 4x110 bolt patten. i am going to go with koing rewinds, since i cant get the rotor wheels in the states. post pics -xlr8planet-.

i test fit the fronts yesterday. seem ok but im cutting it verry close but i dont think i will have to roll fenders. but the rear i want to know if i can run 5 mm spacers out back. like these http://www.racinglab.com/whmalialwhsp1.html
is there any prob with the hubcentric rings and running spacers?

but yes they came from tire rack originally. rx7will on "the other site" bought them and sold em to me cause he went another route.

bop_rocco 03-10-2008 10:24 AM

also if i ran 5 mm spacers out back do i have to replace the studs for longer ones?

bop_rocco 03-11-2008 07:31 AM

can anyone answer this for me?

bop_rocco 03-12-2008 11:01 AM

?

here are some pics from my phone, i'll get better ones later. nothing rubs as far as i can tell but im taking out the bolts under the front fender that holds the fender liner and i will get 5 mm spacers for the rear to put the rim at +44mm.

i would usually recommend against spacers... the thicker the spacer, the greater danger of having your bolts fail during hard cornering. but i understand in your case, getting another pair of rims in a better offset for the rear may not be realistic.

bop_rocco 03-19-2008 07:32 AM

yeah just 5 mm is all im going to do and im getting hub centric ones so should be ok. hopefully i wont have to put in new studs but if i cant get around 7 turns ill get some.

wow! those look great= very sharp fd!

Phoenix7 04-08-2008 06:14 PM

nice. You need some other color to match the lip on the wheels though.

Your pics are high quality, what kinda phone you got?

Not a fan a black wheels though.

Phoenix7 04-23-2008 05:35 PM

i meant, add some silver accents on the body to tie it to the chrome/polished lip.

is a sony ericsson cant fig out the model is kinda old but looks like a camera from the rear and rotates 180 if that helps. 1.3mp but good lens

as far as the silver on the car prob wont do that. I like the black so far and with me putting on more carbon stuff as i can afford it, it makes it better. but i know it will grow old to me so later on i will prob take the centers out and get them painted gunmetal or silver, hell might go with gold. but the black is cool for now.:D

cabaynes 04-25-2008 11:54 AM

Looks great. I have Work Meisters and my fronts are 18x9 +43 with a 255/35... your setup looks to be the same only with a +41... I have already caught my fender lip pretty bad on a driveway, so be careful! You have 2mm less than I do!

My ride height is set at 25" from the top of the fender arch to the ground.

bop_rocco 04-25-2008 12:44 PM

im a little higher than that, i have not rubbed yet as far as i can tell but i may take out the fender liner bolt at the top inside of the fender and bend the tab over the liner. that seems the only thing that will rub. im not going to lower the car, mine looks lower than others stock that i see but mine is still stock suspension can fig that out, only thing im going to do is go with new shocks and struts.
