The primered fender is a result of an armco encounter.

I don't have too many pics from my wife's first event but it was a blast. The car did very well and my wife did better. The fotogs focused on the drift cars more and we only got in half a day due to a problem with the car, on the way to the track, but here is a couple:

Daytona in the rain, with a junkyard motor with 165K on it, plus a couple driving schools and a race weekend.

Sebring Turkey Trot 07. Opening Lap. Following a Porsche that was nicely prepared cost me quite a few spots.

And btw.. need to do the bump steer correction on the car, as well as new tires, and a tighter steering box. Too many other projects have been interfering. The bump steer is evident in Turn one at sebring where the bumps are really bad, and when cornering hard, and going over bumps like crazy, the steering wheel is all over to compensate for the bump steer. <shakes head>
Not so bad at Daytona... well.. except for the rougher parts of the high bank.

Pukekohe New Zealand....X Ausie V8 Super Car track. They do 58sec - 1min with slicks. So far im laping 1.06 passes with semi-slicks with a street car. Still getting used to the tyres, unsure of the limits still.
Last pics is the old TT setup.

Here is a short 2-lap video at Virginia International Raceway with me driving with I8U as a passenger (notice his amazing camera skillz! - The camera couldn't handle the vibration while hard mounted so he had to freehand). It's in an RX-8 with a 4 point roll bar, one of our custom made exhausts (the mufflers had blown out and we hadn't changed them yet), a Mazdaspeed body kit minus the rear diffuser, a cold air intake, and JIC Single Adjustable suspension.

It was during an intermediate/advanced HPDE group. And please don't mind the gear crunching. That transmission was on it's way out and failed completely that afternoon. Oh and the clutch was sticking. Lol. So I was taking it pretty easy. :)

The car has since been turned into #60.

Enjoyed the video Adam. I like when you pulled in for space and finally got to open her up! Nothing worse than getting stuck in a caravan of slower cars on the track.

Yeah, the only cars I didn't pass that weekend was a C6R and a Subaru STI ITS racecar. Our times were comparable from what I was told.

Nah, 245/35 17 Victoracer V710s, 30 wear rating equal shyte tonne of grip.

Funny thing was the STI corded two set of tires that weekend. Poor guy.

Nice!! I have some V710's, but I'm saving them for when the weather cools down. I don't have the best of luck with the V710's in the heat of the summer.

at 6:31 looks like you hit a corner bump pretty hard that somehow increase the zoom in on the camera! :)

Here's a shot you don't see very often.:) Turn 1 at VIR. Last lap, last day, last session of a 2-day track event.

Always remember, the last session of the last day of a track event is the most prone to lapses in concentration, to over confidence and to just plain stupidness. Like this.:)
