Gauge Pod Updates and the Best Way for Ordering Gauge Pods
 

How to order pods:

- Send me an email @ flyrx7@aol.com with the gauge pod part # in the subject heading. See this thread for pictures and part nomenclature:

Within the email include:
- Your name
- Your forum ID
- An email address to contact you by (if different than the one you're sending from).
- Also let me know if you will require spacer rings.

That's it.

The reason that it has to be email is that it lessens the confusion for me and that is also how the Waiting List is formatted as well. All payment and shipping information is handled via email as well. If the pods are not in stock I will add you to a production waiting list

Payment can be Paypal, personal checks and money orders. I'm in the process of setting up to receive credit cards too, but my bank is dragging their feet. All payments and shipping info will be handled once the pod(s) are ready to ship.
Personal checks and money orders will have to clear the bank prior to shipping.
Paypal must be to confirmed addresses.

I sent out emails on 6/29/08 to the people at the top of the waiting list to let them know that the last batch was done and ready to ship. Check your emails and spam filters just in case you were one of them. I have received a couple bounces so far.....so bad luck for some means good luck for the next guy.

Also of note, I'm underway with the next batch of pods as we speak.
This batch will be about 80% +/- of the waiting list, 52mm, 60mm, Left hand and Right hand pods.
I'm still waiting for some supplies to come in over the next week, but I'm starting in with the materials I have on hand.

I'll post updates as they occur.

7/14/08 Waiting List Update:

As it is now, 100% of the 52mm pods and close to 100% of the 60's are in production. I'm a few short on the 60's, but history has proven that not everyone on 'the list' follows through, so if you're on 'the list' at all, you're likely to be in the latest run. The wait shouldn't be long.

Also, I've sent out the 3rd round of emails on the latest batch of 52mm pods on 7/13/08.
I'm just waiting for the replies and confirmations. The next round of emails that will follow should complete the latest production run of 52mm pods. So if you've been on the list and haven't received an email yet, there may still be a chance (unless you want a quad, then, sadly, you must wait just a bit more)

As it stands at the moment, the LH52TP pods are nearly caught up to present as far as the Waiting List is concerned. Which means that that particular model # has nearly reached an "in stock" status. As many of you surely know, that hasn't occured for far too long.

On a final note, I do have a few extra RH52TP's in stock from the latest batch, so if anyone from across the pond is lurking, I've got you covered.

That pretty much covers the latest updates, except for maybe the LH52TP that will be up for the RCC Membership Raffle within the next few days or so (just got to iron out details, so stay tuned).

Phew.......
Just winding down on my contract stuff now....finally!
I'll be starting up on pods again around the start of next week and they should start rolling out about a week or two after that.
While this current batch is the biggest I've had to do to date, there may still be some late comers that may not get a pod from this batch. It's close and too soon to call, but just wanted to mention that.

I'll have more concrete numbers and a clearer picture as soon as this batch gets done. Then I'll start on the next batch immediately thereafter for those that miss out.

Tony, you can plan on your pod shipping begore the end of this month.

I will send out emails to everyone, but only after the batch is done.
Coming Monday we will be full time on pods for awhile, so there is some good news!

Absolutely.

It usually takes a few weeks to go through the shipping process, as I give everyone (1) week to respond to the notification email.

Once this batch ships out I'll know what part numbers I'll need for the next batch. I'll post here when the next batch is to start then.

how many RHD pods do you have available? i know a bunch of RX7 guys here in japan that would love to get their hands on some pods. 60mm is preferred, but i might be able to work something with the 52. let me know and i can put the word out.

I'll have to verify my stock after the waiting list gets taken care of, but I'll most likely have more of the 52mm than 60mm, but that is just a guess.

The best bet would be for your buddies to drop me a line and just get added to the waiting list. I can guarantee that it won't take nearly as long to get the pods out in the next batch as it has taken for the last couple.

Available? Yes. In stock? The only RH I have in stock at the moment is a RH160252 pod. I'm close to starting another production run, but I've actually been away on vaca and this is the first chance I've had to connect in a while (sorry for the late response btw).

Brief update:

Production is moving forward, albeit the typical snail pace.
I'm having issues with the supply of the attachment clips, being that the factory is out of stock and will only run an order of 50+ thousand at a time. No way in a million years would I need 50 thousand clips, so I'm looking for retailers with stock (not an easy task) and also alternative fasteners.

The production waiting list is still in order, so if you've never got confirmation yet, then send me an email at flyrx7@aol.com with the part number you're looking for. Current emails will be replied to today, so check them for responses first. Thanks!

PS. I'm hoping to be able to get back to full time production on the latest batch in about 3 weeks when my contract work tapers off.

Update:

Clips have been sourced and are on the way...$.09 each sure beats the $5 each that Mazda wants.
Production is underway and is top priority, so the current production run should be ready to ship in 3-5 weeks if everything goes smoothly. If you're not on the list, drop me a line to be sure of availability.
